It's Been Awhile

Well after starting this blog in January this is the first chance I have really had to sit down and post again. I am hoping this will not be the trend.
It is spring in Texas and since we have gotten some good rain, it did not take any time for everything to green up around here. The Bluebonnets are beautiful right now which worked out well with our reading of Miss Rumphius this week. We have learned all about Lupines including their Latin names and Haleigh can't wait to tell all she has learned.
Haleigh is very preoccupied right now counting down the days until my birthday as hers is one week after. I am glad that someone is looking forward to my birthday.(HA HA) I am hoping to get a digital camera of some type for my birthday so that I can start adding pictures to this blog as well as send them to family and friends.
Speaking of family we are all tense right now as my dad goes in for heart surgery tomorrow. We all pray that it goes well but we know it is in Gods hands as to the outcome. So in the meantime we try to keep positive and busy so we do not dwell and think about the what ifs. No worrying allowed.
Well, off to our school day(starting late again). Hopefully things will go well today.

And so it begins...

Welcome to our family blog, we are glad that you stopped by.
We are a Catholic family of three and we live "deep in the heart of Texas."
Our household is very busy...even chaotic at times. In addition to the three of us we have our five dogs( 2 Boston Terriers, 2 Black Labs and a Schnauzer), five cats and two goats, not to mention the neighbors dog who visits on a daily basis.
Outside of our critters we keep busy with work and homeschooling. We use the Charlotte Mason Method in our schooling and daily life and could not imagine doing it any other way.
We spend our free time visiting with our family and friends and we have just started golfing.
Well, that is the intro for our family and the first of many glimpses into the happenings in our abode.
